We are looking for an Analytical Chemist, based in Englewood, Colorado. As part of a cutting edge technology commercialization team, the Analytical Chemist is expected to make the best use of Gevo’s resources to achieve remarkable progress. This position will be responsible for conducting routine analyses, troubleshooting instruments, and developing/validating methods to meet targets. The ideal candidate must be able to efficiently analyze large datasets, observe and report on trends, optimize and/or develop chromatographic methods, and effectively discuss findings and record results in all cases. The Analytical Chemist will interact with scientists across Gevo, including areas of Biocatalyst Development, Fermentation Development, Process Development and Applications/Chemical Technology. We are looking for a Molecular Biologist, based in Englewood, Colorado. The Molecular Biologist will work directly with their team leader to design and to execute molecular engineering manipulations on yeast biocatalysts. This position will also work closely with technicians, chemists, biologists and engineers who may be peers, supervisors and customers in order to complete tasks. We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer, based in Englewood, Colorado. The Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for leading the commercial design and start-up of economical and robust biological and chemical processes to produce fermentation based biofuels. Technology areas include feed-stock processing, fermentation, recovery and purification. The Senior Process Engineer will create process flow diagrams, process material and energy balances, process capital and operating cost studies to understand commercial feasibility and plant design. This position will also design, install and operate pilot plant and commercial facilities to support technology demonstration and product samples. They will work with QP and Fermentation groups to complete transfer of microorganism from laboratory to pilot plant scale production. We are looking for a Fermentation Technician, based in Englewood, Colorado. The purpose of this position is to support activities within the fermentation and process development areas. The Fermentation Technician will prepare media, set up, operate, clean and maintain fermentation and recovery equipment at the bench and pilot plant scale, collect and record experiment samples, perform sample assays, perform data analysis and reporting, and maintain supply stocks.
