Requirements include

Fermentation/Process Technician

The position supports activities within the fermentation and process development areas. The Fermentation/Process Technician will prepare, operate, clean and maintain fermentation and recovery equipment at the bench and pilot plant scale, collect and record experiment samples, perform basic sample assays, perform basic data analysis and maintain supply stocks in the fermentation lab and pilot plant.
Requirements include
- High School Diploma or equivalent minimum, A.S or better in an applicable field preferred.
- At least two years of experience working in a lab or with equipment. Experience in a biotechnology setting preferred.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability.

Responsibilities include:
The Fermentation/Process Technician will be responsible for preparing and maintaining media, apparatus and equipment in a ready state for experiments. Specific duties will include :- Equipment and glassware cleaning, assembly and sterilization

Senior Process Development Engineer

This role will closely interact with the metabolic engineering teams and the pilot & commercial plant team to test and develop effective biocatalysts for the production of biofuels. This position will work with the metabolic engineering group to quantitatively characterize new strains, and develop strains to meet biocatalyst performance targets.
Requirements include:
- Requires a B.S. or M.S. degree in chemical, biochemical, biochemistry or a related discipline and a minimum of 1-2 years of professional (not academic) experience solving industrial problems.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data from laboratory operations (including carbon and other mass balances) to provide direction for optimal strain and process development.
