Gevo believes in engaging with civil society at the local, national and international levels. We also believe in transparency in all engagements including those around policy initiatives and regulatory frameworks. The primary arena for policy engagement is the U.S. where we are active in educating policy and regulatory officials about the benefits of isobutanol and the challenges faced by the advanced biofuels industry. We believe all biofuels and bioproducts should be evaluated on their direct performance metrics, i.e., their energy content and balance; their green house gas profile; their field-to-wheel life cycle assessment; and their environmental stewardship.
