Carlos A. Cabrera

Mr. Carlos A. Cabrera has served as a director of Gevo since June 2010 and is a member of the Company’s Nominating and Corporate Governance and Audit Committees. He is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute of Clean and Low Carbon Energy (NICE), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Shenhua Group, a major Chinese energy company. Mr. Cabrera is the former chairman, president and Chief Executive Officer of UOP LLC. During his 35 year career with UOP, he held several managerial and technology positions, including Senior Vice President of Refining and Petrochemicals, Senior Vice President of Process Technology and Equipment and Vice President of Corporate Development and New Ventures.

Mr. Cabrera holds an M.B.A. in business from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Kentucky.
