EH&S/Facilities Coordinator

Gevo, Inc. is a high energy, team-oriented company that is pioneering the advanced green energy industry. We are looking for an EH&S/Facilities Coordinator, based in Englewood, Colorado. This role is responsible for the administration of established safety and environmental programs under the direction of VP of Regulatory Affairs. Schedule and conduct safety and environmental orientations for newly hired employees, periodic refresher training and scheduled safety meetings. Assist with management of Gevo Englewood facilities which could include light duty maintenance, project management, etc.

Requirements include:
  • 1 – 3 years of direct work experience with environmental health and safety programs including:
    • At least 1 year of work experience with workplace safety OSHA (preferably in a research & development environment).
    • Environmental hazardous waste management.
  • Technical skills in the areas of molecular biology, analytical chemistry, microbiology, and chemistry.
  • Must have a Bachelors degree in an area of science (biology, chemistry) from an accredited college or university.
  • Must have demonstrative exceptional collaborative skills. Must be a ‘self-starter.’
  • Should have strong record of accomplishment of achievement in complex and changing environment.
Responsibilities include:

  • Ability to conduct work with initiative, persistence and bring projects to closure on established timelines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasks.

  • Related work experience in industry with experience in the assessment of safety and efficacy data a plus
